outdoor training programme

An intervention in which employees are taken to a remote location, often in a National Park or similar area, and presented with a series of challenging physical exercises, which typically involve an element of group problem solving. The aim is usually to develop leadership potential, boost confidence, and build a sense of belonging to a team (see team building exercises).
